Chief Jim Walkowski joined EJFR in December, 2017 from Spokane County Fire District #9. As the Assistant Chief of Emergency Services there, he supervised the Fire/EMS Operations, Training and Special Operation Divisions of the District.Chief Walkowski is a graduate of the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute and attended Western/Eastern Oregon University. He has served as board member, President and now Past President of the Washington Fire Chiefs Association.Deborah Stinson moved to Port Townsend after retiring from her career in information technology and has since enjoyed engaging with her community through volunteerism. She is a charter member of LION, the Local Investing Opportunities Network of East Jefferson County, and is a founding board member of the community-owned Quimper Mercantile Company. Additionally, she initiated the Neighborhood Preparedness Partnership with the Department of Emergency Management and launched the All County Picnic. She has also been active through various capacities in addressing Climate Change. Deborah was elected to serve on Port Townsend’s City Council in 2012 and is honored to serve as Mayor since 2016.
